Now that the game is out on the Switch we wanted to know more to and to have a quick chat with Natallia Pershyts, World of Tanks Blitz Publishing Product Director about the game. We'll be looking forward to your feedback after 7.Wargaming just announced that World of Tanks Blitz is coming to the Switch, and it’s out today – but what is it all about? You might have played the game on PC or mobile, heard about World of Tanks but not looked into it any more than that.

Good news for Nintendo Switch owners: in Update 7.9, we've also worked on eliminating incompatibility issues while using Nintendo-certified third-party controllers. Some other gamepads may be OK as well (MFi-certified on iOS, xinput-compatible on Android and Windows 10) but we can't guarantee they will work correctly. To play, you'll need a Sony Dualshock 4 (iOS 13+, Android 10+) or a Microsoft Xbox One Controller (iOS 13+, Android 5.1.1+, Windows 10). Garage controls with a virtual cursor and several shortcuts were added as well. Unlike the old implementation, the current one allows you not only aiming, shooting, moving, and using consumables, but also turning the auto-aim on / off, using the lookout camera mode, and switching shell types with a gamepad. In Update 7.9, we are adding basic gamepad support at the request of enthusiasts who used the rudimentary pre-Update 7.0 experimental functionality that enabled limited in-battle controls.

Some players have reported bugs, but I’m not clear on that. There were problems when used with Android devices, but those were supposed to have been fixed. WG added some gamepad support in Update 7.9.
